Chief Association Officer - Allen Friend
Allen owns and operates a software company called "IdoSoft"
in Oakland, Maryland. IdoSoft is a POS software company that markets
to many types of independent retailers, from CE stores to hardware
and jewelry stores. Allen, along with his company are sensitive to
the needs of independent retailers and IdoSoft does what it can to
meet those specific needs.
Why is Allen so sensitive to the needs of
independent retailers? He has been one since 1977, so believe me, he
gets it!
Director of Marketing - Marc Coon
Marc has been involved in CE
retail since he was 16 years old. In 2004, after a stint in the
Cellular industry, Marc returned to his families franchise
affiliated CE store in Alma Michigan. In 2006 Marc realized the
franchise relationship was not aiding his success but hampering it,
so he took the business independent and has not looked back. Marc is
a shining example of what an independent retailer can accomplish.
Secretary - Jerry Hancock
In 2000, Jerry purchased a franchise CE store
in
Dardanelle,
Arkansas.
He relocated the store, purchased all new fixtures, loaded up with
inventory and away he rolled! It didn't take long for Jerry to
realize that to achieve the margins it took to be successful, he
needed to look outside of the franchise. Over the next several years
more and more of Jerry's product was being purchased independently
and in 2005 the franchise relationship was ended.
