The RDCEA releases the NEW Plug & Play Domain signage. The signage will be available in a 3X15, 4X6 and 3X5 sizes for outdoor usage. There will be sizes made available for window display and for in store exposure. The signage will be made available to RDCEA members under a simple licensing a agreement.

Marc Coon has joined the RDCEA Board. Marc brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the consumer electronics market place and we are very happy to have him join with us to make the RDCEA the association to belong to.

Membership pages have been completed and the RDCEA is ready to accept member applications.  

The RDCEA welcomes the first vendor to recognize the benefits of having an association with the RDCEA and its members. NewTek Supply is working with the RDCEA to start providing member benefits. We plan to have these in operation very soon.

The RDCEA WEB site now has a member area and a secure Login for members. Membership pages are being created to allow the RDCEA to accept members.

The RDCEA new WEB site to host the RDCEA is still under some construction. However the Board Forum and the Guestbook have been moved to the new site and are in operation as of today.

The old RDCEA site has a URL forward added to it now to point to this new site. It is a little slow, but it should route all traffic to this site.

The RDCEA has acquired a new WEB site to host the RDCEA. The RDCEA WEB will now be hosted by ValueWeb.
This was done to improve performance and to have a permanent location that would allow upgrading of service should the need arise.

The RDCEA has released information about the RDCEA to the public for the first time. The response has been very positive. The release was to members of the RSDealers WEB site.

A prominent consumer electronics vendor is working close with the RDCEA and will be sending out a NEW catalog that features the NEW RDCEA logo on the front cover.

The Executive Board had it's second board meeting. All members were in attendance.

Chairman DeWitt entertained discussion over an acceptable name for the membership to use. Motion was made to accept Plug&Play Domain as the trade name, and plugandplaydomain.com for the domain name for the association to use. The motion carried unanimously. The colors of the signage will be discussed in the next meeting.

Chairman DeWitt entertained discussion over proposed Bylaws for the association. A proposal to adopt a finished set of Bylaws is scheduled for the next meeting.

The Executive Board unanimously voted to adopt an RDCEA logo. The new logo will be used in all advertisements and be made available for use to our association membership.

The election of the first RDCEA chairman was a unanimous success in more ways than one. The newly elected chairman of the board, Bill De Witt, has received a unanimous vote and has the full support of the current board and membership.

Bill has shown to all he has come in contact with, that he has the skills and excitement needed to guide this association. Our new chairman is an entrepreneur from Logan, Iowa. Where he and his wife run a successful "Do It Best" hardware store. Bill has been involved in the sale of consumer electronics for quite sometime.

I recently asked Bill for some information about himself and I must share his response here and I quote:
"My highest priority and or love involves my faith. Second is my wife, we have been married 16 years and I have to say, I just absolutely love her. We wake up together, spend most of our day together at the store and end our day together visiting about the day."

I must say Bill certainly has his priorities straight and anyone reading his response must agree. It is not hard to see why Bill was unanimously elected as our first chairman.

We are very pleased that Bill has accepted the position.
